Dr. Mark Graves, Managing Director, Implantaire UK :
Dr Mark Graves has a First Class degree in Electronic and Structural Materials Engineering from Keble College, Oxford, where he was the winner of the Maurice Lubbock Prize for his performance in the final year examinations.
After Oxford, he joined TransTec PLC where he headed up a research group in x-ray imaging technology, project leading a European Funded Framework research project investigating novel 3d x-ray imaging sensors. This research led to the award of one of six national Royal Commission Industrial Fellowships and subsequently to his PhD in Computer Science from Cardiff University, with Professor Bruce Batchelor with whom he co-edited the book “Machine Vision in the Inspection of Natural Materials”.
Dr. Mark Graves co- led a spin out from TransTec, Spectral Fusion Technologies, initially as CTO and subsequently as CEO. Spectral Fusion was sold to the Dutch based Meyn Group and Dr Graves created MG Technology Consulting, an R&D consulting company which undertook a number of projects for mainly US clients within the fields of image processing, machine vision, food process automation, neural network control and RFID monitoring as well as technology due diligence for high net worth individuals.
Prior to joining Implantaire Technologies he was Technical and then General Manager for Elektron Instruments, where he led research in the fields of web-enabled wireless sensor networks and microcontroller based temperature, pressure and gas detection instrumentation and completed a part-time Post Graduate certificate in Intellectual Property Law at Bournemouth University. |
